1. PURPOSE
This Content Policy sets the rules for content submitted to or published through Aussies After Dark.
It applies to profiles, descriptions, services, rates, availability, links, photographs, videos, establishment information and other advertiser-supplied material.
The Adult Content Policy contains additional rules specifically relating to adult and sexual content.
2. GENERAL STANDARD
Content must be lawful, accurate in all material respects, appropriately authorised and consistent with AAD's role as an adult advertising directory.
Publication or previous approval of content does not prevent AAD from reviewing or removing it later.
3. ADULTS ONLY
Every person depicted in advertiser media must be at least 18 years old.
Content is prohibited if it:
- depicts a person under 18;
- presents or describes a person as being under 18 in a sexualised context;
- sexualises childhood or minors;
- uses imagery intended to make an adult appear to be a child in a sexualised context; or
- creates material uncertainty about whether a person depicted in a sexualised context is an adult.
AAD may reject content where adulthood cannot reasonably be established.
4. CONSENT AND RIGHTS
You may only upload or publish material where you have the necessary authority, rights and consent.
For media depicting another person, you must have that person's informed consent to the creation and publication of the material in the manner in which you use it.
You must not upload:
- stolen photographs or videos;
- leaked content;
- revenge pornography or other non-consensual intimate material;
- content copied from another creator without permission;
- content falsely presented as depicting you or a person associated with your listing;
- material that infringes copyright, trade marks or other rights.
5. ACCURACY
Advertising must not be materially false, misleading or deceptive.
You must not make false claims about:
- identity;
- age;
- location;
- services;
- rates;
- availability;
- qualifications;
- experience;
- facilities;
- another person's involvement;
- verification status; or
- any other material aspect of an advertisement.
6. HEALTH AND QUALIFICATION CLAIMS
Advertisers must not make misleading health, medical, testing or qualification claims.
Claims such as absolute guarantees of being "STI free", "100% clean" or equivalent claims may be rejected.
Professional or regulated titles must not be used falsely or misleadingly.
7. EXPLOITATION, COERCION AND TRAFFICKING
AAD has zero tolerance for content facilitating or indicating:
- human trafficking;
- coercion;
- forced sexual activity;
- sexual exploitation;
- threats used to compel services;
- debt bondage;
- control of a person through violence or intimidation; or
- commercial sexual activity involving anyone under 18.
AAD may suspend content or accounts and make reports or disclosures where required or permitted by law.
8. ILLEGAL ACTIVITY
Content must not advertise, facilitate, solicit or promote unlawful activity.
This includes unlawful drug-related activity, prohibited weapons-related services or transactions, fraud and other criminal conduct.
Advertisers remain responsible for determining whether their advertised services are lawful in the jurisdiction where they operate.
9. FRAUD, SCAMS AND IMPERSONATION
You must not:
- impersonate another person or business;
- use another person's identity without authority;
- operate fraudulent listings;
- solicit money through deception;
- publish deliberately false contact information;
- engage in phishing or credential theft; or
- use AAD to facilitate scams.
10. VIOLENCE, THREATS AND HARASSMENT
Content must not:
- threaten violence;
- encourage violence against a person;
- harass or intimidate another person;
- disclose private information for the purpose of causing harm; or
- encourage targeted abuse.
11. HATEFUL OR DISCRIMINATORY CONTENT
Content must not promote hatred, violence or serious harassment against people based on protected or personal characteristics.
This does not prevent advertisers from accurately describing themselves or their services using lawful profile attributes.
12. RECRUITMENT
Advertisers must not use ordinary profile advertising to circumvent laws or AAD rules concerning recruitment.
Recruitment content may be restricted or reviewed separately.
Deceptive recruitment into sex work is prohibited.
13. CONTACT DETAILS AND LINKS
External links must comply with AAD's technical and moderation requirements.
AAD may refuse links that:
- lead to unlawful or prohibited content;
- are misleading;
- impersonate another service;
- create security risks; or
- circumvent AAD moderation.
Contact information embedded in images may be rejected.
14. MEDIA
All public media must also comply with the Adult Content Policy.
Private upload capability does not mean that all uploaded material is permitted.
Material involving minors, lack of consent or lack of publication rights is prohibited everywhere on AAD, including private storage.
15. MODERATION
AAD may:
- approve content;
- request changes;
- reject content;
- require cropping, blurring or other edits;
- remove previously approved content;
- temporarily disable content;
- suspend a profile or account; or
- permanently remove content or a profile.
Human moderation involves judgement. Previous approval does not create a right to continued publication.
16. REPORTING
Users can report content through AAD's reporting and takedown systems.
Urgent concerns involving suspected minors, trafficking/coercion or non-consensual imagery should be reported using the appropriate reporting mechanism.
17. REPEATED OR SERIOUS BREACHES
Repeated breaches, attempts to evade moderation or a single sufficiently serious breach may result in suspension or permanent removal.
18. CHANGES
AAD may update this Content Policy to respond to changes in law, regulation, platform risks or AAD's services.
